I know Fanelli's and it's really one of the best spots in NYC (there are plenty of but that one is a must-go, must-see, must-whatever). The atmosphere is exactly what you describe and the counter is a work of art. I went there twice or more, I don't remember. I developed a kind of familiarity with the place: during the pandemic I was really afraid it had to shut down, I was reading of so many places closing and I thought it will be the next one. Glad to hear it's fine, as always.
Thanks for pointing to Matt's talk, just watched it and found it rather inspiring. One thing I missed, though, is the hole "democratize eCommerce" part of WP's mission. Wonder what the reason for that might be.
Ah okay. You’re right, it’s a little tough to know what’s what if you’re not part of it. So next time I hear “WordPress” I’m gonna check which one it is first :)

Stronger than ever! :)

WooCommerce is an Automattic product. The State of the Word is a WordPress event, not an Automattic or WordPress.com event.
I know it’s not always easy to remember where things overlap and where they differ :)
